Look, they're steel toe shoes; they're going to be heavier than tennis shoes. The reviewers that mention the weight were looking for some ultralight running shoes with a ST in them, which defeats the purpose. I wear them every day in my office where I go from a standing desk to a sitting desk to the shop to the yard, and they are very comfortable. They're not too hot, not quite boots, but not quite shoes either. I could run comfortably in these if wanted. The size is right on: I wear a 10 in tennis shoes, a 10 in hiking boots, a 10 in work boots, and a 10 in these. They fit the same as other Keens, the toe box is a little wide and loose which is preferable with the ST, and they have decent arch support. My feet aren't tired after a day of being on them. The price is good, but durability is yet to be seen. I can say that after 3 months of having them M-F 8-5+, they're holding up fine. They come below the ankle, so if you need ankle support or boots as a requirement, these obviously won't fit the bill. The tread is good in wet/muddy conditions, and the waterproof Keen dry is definitely a plus and works well. Despite being waterproof, they are not hot, I've been comfortable with them on working in the yard in 95 degree weather for the day.
