This is me: A hardworking guy that's been cut off from replacement boots by nearly every modern boot company- true story. I've paid for very expensive, mid tier and even some low priced boots; and none have held up like these Rocky SV2.I've waited years to post this review. I'll put pictures of the maltreated pair complete with paint splatter. I've had to replace the insole multiple times over the years. These boots have worked in the heat of Florida, cold of the Midwest and points between. Have worn them over 24 hours straight on concrete floors many times. Have ran, hiked, weight lifted, worked from footings to rooftop ridges and these are always ready. They have aged, there's separation at the leather and sides of the sole where they attach, yet it's cosmetic and they still have their integrity.I've read other reviews and this is my experience, your mileage may vary and maybe I just got a special pair. The only boots that ever came close were the original Herman Survivors made in Poland nearly 2-decades ago and a pair of Matterhorns.I'd love to have had goretex, but again for how they're made, they performed the best.If you purchase a pair I hope that you have a similar experience. Please work safe, efficiently, enjoy the process and God Bless.
